¾ c water
3 T sugar
2 T sake
1 ½ T miso
1 T soy sauce
1 T rice vinegar
1 T cornstarch
1 ½ t chile-garlic sauce
3 T vegetable oil
1 ½ lbs green beans, cut into 2 inch lengths
3 scallions
1 t sesame oil
1 t sesame seeds
Combine the first 8 ingredients.
Heat a skillet for 2 minutes, add the oil and heat. Add the beans and scallions and cook over high heat until tender and brown in spots about 6 minutes.
Stir in the sauce and heat until boiling. Cook until the sauce is glossy and slightly thickened about 1 minute.
Stir in sesame oil and transfer to a platter and garnish with sesame seeds.
