2 cans whole beets
1 c cider vinegar
¼ c sugar
1 t salt
¼ t ground clove Hard-boiled eggs, peeled, whole
Drain beets, set aside and reserve juice.
Combine all ingredients, except eggs, and bring to boil.
Simmer 3-4 minutes covered.
Pour over cooked, peeled, whole hard-boiled eggs.
Refrigerate. Add beets later if desired.
